The Fire's Core

We sit here hypnotised,
Imagining beautiful patterns in the smoke.
The fire keeps burning bright,
Its core lost, unimaginable, obscure.

Oh the core so far away,
Is where we are meant to stay.
Forever and ever not betray,
And never go astray.

In this hypnotic state of being,
Only the illusion we are seeing.
All comprehension, veracity lost,
Such is this veil's cost.

Oh this propensity for the virtual,
Subtle the crucification of the real.
Blessing the dark devil with light,
Of human minds and souls alike.

Come on you people lets lift this veil,
Tear the illusion, the fire we peal.
Let's make our way to the core,
A place so chaste, so pure.
